Work Force Energy Efficiency Specialist Program

U.S. buildings consume approximately 40% of the energy consumed in the nation. The Department Of Energy has identified building energy retrofitting as an area of national concern. Hundreds of buildings in major cities across America will eventually be retrofitted using energy reduction as a key focal point. Energy efficiency specialist will be needed to enable these building transformations.

The Work Force Energy Efficiency Specialist Program (WFEESP) is a certificate program that goes beyond the fundamentals and teaches a broad spectrum of energy principles and techniques. Topics include building energy use, glazing, insulation, building envelope, heating/cooling, secondary HVAC, controls, central plant equipment, energy auditing. Each topic is covered by a discipline expert from a hands on integration approach. WFEESP consists of the following 5 modules:
